Zero was started in 2022 by Grant Gunnison, an MIT and NASA engineer who grew up working in his father's general contracting business, then took it over before founding Zero. He saw the same wall in every kitchen: confusing quotes, in-home sales pressure, and a rebate maze nobody wanted to navigate alone.

Zero's designers spec your system; vetted independent contractors install it. Two checks on quality, not one.

We file the rebate paperwork for every program you qualify for. You don't chase forms; you keep the savings.

We're a team of can-kids: operators, designers, and engineers who took one look at the home-upgrade industry and decided it could be better. The industry is full of can't-kids: people who'll tell you a heat pump won't work in your climate or that a real quote takes weeks. We disagree, and we built Zero to prove it.

We obsess over two groups of people. The homeowner who wants to get a quote without the high pressure in-home sales call, and the local contractor who's done with low-paying gig work and just wants to walk into a pre-scoped, pre-priced job. Get them both right and the rest takes care of itself.

We move fast. We say things plainly. We sweat the parts of the project most homeowners never see, because that's where the work actually happens. And every win, every install, every quote signed, every system that just works, is a team win.
