Not until the day we install. The assessment is 100% virtual, which saves you a half day waiting on a sales rep. When it is time to install, our vetted contractor partners come out, do the work, and leave.

More accurate than most in-home visits. The industry standard for heat-pump design is a Manual J load calculation, and our platform is certified to perform one. We use more data points than a typical in-home visit captures, and our designs are reviewed by engineers, not a single commissioned sales rep working from memory.

A vetted local contractor from our partner network. We don't use crews we haven't pre-qualified for license, insurance, workmanship, and customer feedback. Zero Homes designs and manages the project; the best local crew for your job does the physical install.

Most Zero Homes projects go from first call to install inside a single week. Your first call with a Home Advisor takes 10 to 15 minutes. The scan in the Zero app takes about 15 minutes of your time. From there, our engineering team designs your system and sends a quote in about 24 hours. Equipment ordering, permit pulls, and crew scheduling happen in parallel, and most installs wrap up in 1 to 2 days on-site. If your project needs special-order equipment or sits in a slow-permit jurisdiction, the timeline runs longer; your Home Advisor will fill you in on the call.
